Brigadier General (Ret.) Patrick Huston is a leading expert in AI, cybersecurity, and national security law, bringing decades of experience from the battlefield to the boardroom. A former Army Ranger, helicopter pilot, and Pentagon leader, he served as General Counsel for the 101st Airborne Division, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), advising on high-stakes military operations and emerging technologies. Now, as a key member of the FBI’s AI Task Force and the American Bar Association’s AI Task Force, he helps shape the future of AI policy, deepfake defence, and cybersecurity regulation.

She has also been recognised in the Global Power 100 Women in Cyber by the Security Industry Association in USA and awarded Australia’s IT Security Champion. She is a Cyber Security Partner at Deloitte with 20+ years of experience having worked at Tier 1 Banks, Big 4 consulting and Tier 1 technology companies across EMEA, UK, APAC and ANZ. This includes having been a member of Board Audit & Risk Committees for regulated entities.

Yngvar Ugland is a well-known technical leader at DNB Emerging Business Technology. Recognized as one of Norway’s leading tech profiles, he was recently named Nordic AI Professional of the Year. Yngvar is the co-author of several books and has served as an Adjunct Industry Professor (Professor II) at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen. He is currently pursuing an industrial PhD in Artificial Intelligence at NTNU and is the author of the upcoming book “The Moonshots Method.”

Karianne Oldernes Tung

Karianne Oldernes Tung is Norway’s Minister of Digitalisation and Public Governance, leading the country’s work on digital transformation, public sector innovation, and the modernization of national services. Appointed in 2023, she oversees everything from ICT policy and electronic communications to employer policy for the state and the government’s sustainability agenda.

A Labour Party politician from Trøndelag, Tung previously served in the Norwegian Parliament, where she worked on health, care services, and transport — gaining deep insight into how major public systems shape everyday life. Before returning to government, she headed Trondheim Tech Port, strengthening collaboration between industry, research, and public institutions and championing Norway’s growing innovation ecosystem.

Known for her energetic, people-focused approach, Tung brings together technology, governance, and societal values. She is driven by a clear mission: to ensure that digitalisation empowers citizens, strengthens trust, and builds a smarter, more sustainable public sector for the future.
